VCE Accounting primarily focuses on the processes of financial accounting for trading businesses and the role of such processes as information systems for business owners. Students will delve into the study of the double entry recording system, the process and preparation of financial reporting, depreciation, budgeting and balance day adjustments. Along with such, there is emphasis on the analysis of financial reports and business decisions via the use of financial indicators, non-financial indicators and the consideration of the ethical implications resulting from decisions made by firms throughout the course of its operation.
